A family run business with passion and drive for all things automotive, Exhausts UK have a heritage of nearly 50 years in exhaust manufacturing. The Exhausts UK team have the experience and know how to produce a performance exhaust whether that be for the aftermarket, OEM replacement or your race car.

The commitment to continually improve and develop the best exhaust systems in the market combined with the implementation of new exhaust technology has enabled Exhausts UK to stay at the forefront of the aftermarket pushing their own branded Cobra Sport systems into the premium end of the market whilst continuing with large batch white label projects, quality repair work and custom build services at their fully purpose built exhaust centre in Sheffield.

Part of this commitment has seen Exhausts UK awarded the ‘Made in Sheffield’ mark, a symbol of excellence in manufacturing which is recognised worldwide.

Each Cobra Sport system produced by the Exhausts UK team demonstrates the highest quality of manufacturing, every exhaust is hand-made in Sheffield and in-house expertise ensures that all exhausts are engineered to the highest tolerances ensuring a perfect first-time fit, great performance and a truly pitch perfect exhaust sound.

Heritage

  • 1974

    Ascar Exhausts and Tyres Ltd was founded and operated from multiple sites throughout Yorkshire in the 70’s & 80’s.

  • 1979

    Ascar Exhausts and Tyres Ltd competed in the Formula Ford and the Formula 2000 championships throughout the 70’s and 80’s with a successful team.

  • 1994

    Faced with the recession, Pete created the Cobra Sport exhaust brand which then enabled struggling Ascar Exhausts Ltd to prosper.

  • 2000

    The Cobra Sport brand was promoted at events such as the Max Power Live show and many other national car shows.

  • 2003

    A ring road development in Sheffield resulted in Ascar Exhausts Ltd closing due to a Compulsory Purchase Order and the business closed.

  • 2004

    Brother and sister team Pete & Rachel raised the finance to invest into a new company and Exhausts UK Ltd was established.

  • 2004

    Exhausts UK Ltd became a “Max Power Preferred Partner”. This led to many marketing opportunities in the aftermarket car scene.

  • 2006

    Exhausts UK Ltd was selected to appear on the MTV Pimp My Ride UK series.

  • 2007

    Launch of the first Cobra Sport e-commerce retail website.

  • 2008

    Exhausts UK Ltd won a contract with Subaru UK and Isuzu UK to produce a range of stainless-steel dealer parts.

  • 2013

    Exhausts UK Ltd t/a Cobra Sport gears up to exporting products worldwide and is awarded with the “Made in Sheffield” mark.

  • 2016

    Exhausts UK Ltd t/a Cobra Sport opens brand new R&D department.

  • 2016

    Exhausts UK Ltd t/a Cobra Sport joins the Performance Automotive Aftermarket Association.

  • 2019

    Cobra Sport/AmD with AutoAid/RCIB Insurance Racing team win three titles in the 2019 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship and come third in the overall championship.

  • 2021

    Exhausts UK Ltd t/a Cobra Sport embarks on a new venture diversifying into the motorcycle sports exhaust market.

  • 2022

    Exhausts UK Ltd t/a Cobra Sport invest in a second site with a brand new purpose built headquarters, research and development facility and custom exhaust centre in Sheffield.
